Hurricane Danny back to Tropical Storm

 

Hurricane Danny stepped on the gas pedal is now moving west at 15 mph, but conditions have caused the tropical cyclone to be downgraded to a Tropical Storm. Sustained winds are down by more than half at 50 mph.

The storm is expected to degrade into a Tropical Depression by the time it his Puerto Rico and Hispanola.

The National Hurricane Center issued Tropical Storm Warnings for Leeward Islands:

* Antigua, Barbuda, Montserrat, St. Kitts, Nevis, and Anguilla

* St. Maarten
* Puerto Rico
* Vieques
* Culebra
* U.S. Virgin Islands
