At approximately 12:45 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, Christopher Solomon heard what sounded like a forced entry at the back door of the home where he lives at 2110 N Central Avenue in Tampa.
Solomon armed himself and went downstairs where he discovered a stranger in the kitchen area of the house. In interviews with Tampa Police, Solomon said he was in fear for his life and fired several shots at the intruder. The intruder, an adult male, died at the scene.
Solomon has not been arrested or charged in the shooting. As is routine, in such cases the facts will be sent to the State Attorneys Office for review.
