Biden Calls Iran Agreement Good Deal

DAVIE, Fla. (AP) _ Vice President Joe Biden is making the case for a nuclear accord with Iran that President Barack Obama staunchly supports, calling it “a good deal” for the U.S., the world and Israel.

Biden was speaking Thursday at a round-table discussion with Jewish community leaders in the South Florida congressional district of Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, chair of the Democratic National Committee. The congresswoman has not reached a decision on whether she will support the plan.

Biden says the agreement will “take the nuclear bomb off the table” with Iran and “will make us and Israel safer, not weaker.”

As he explores a potential presidential campaign, Biden is presenting himself as a natural heir to Obama’s policies, previewing his potential pitch to voters during a two-day trip to Florida.
