Two women and one man were killed and fourth person was injured in a shooting this morning in Lakeland.
Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said the incident happened at 6:45 this morning at a home at 2312 East Magnolia Street in Lakeland.
Judd said the three people were killed in a slaughter that left blood throughout the house. Police responding to the call found one Hispanic woman, one white woman and one black male had been killed. A fourth person, a Hispanic man was taken to Lakeland Regional Hospital in unknown condition after being shot in the face.
No suspects have been named but police said that drugs may have been involved and the victims may have been targeted. Judd said they have no reason to believe that the community at large is in any danger.
