Interview: Texas State Police Deployed To Border

Insisting that the federal government hasn’t met its obligation to secure the US/Mexico border, Texas governor Rick Perry has ordered a surge of state police officers onto the Rio Grande. Around 34 thousand unaccompanied children have been caught sneaking into the country, creating — what Perry says is — a humanitarian crisis. The increased border enforcement is expected to cost Texas more than a million dollars a week.
