Interview: No Sign Of Crackdown As Ukraine Deadline Passes

Pro-Russian activists attacked another official building in east Ukraine on Monday, ignoring a deadline to leave or face eviction by Ukrainian forces. A crowd stormed a police station in the town of Horlivka, near Donetsk, taking control of the building; and in a new sign of desperation, Ukraine’s acting president asked the United Nations on Monday to send peacekeeping troops to the east of the country, where pro-Russia militias have seized government buildings and blocked major highways.
