Millions are still desperately seeking employment The latest illicit money-making scheme preys on job-hunters so eager to work that they’ll pay for the privilege. The scam can be carried out on-line, by phone or in person. In all cases, job applicants are promised employment in exchange for some kind of up-front payment. Adding to the perceived legitimacy of the scam is that the fake jobs are often posted on legitimate job-matching websites.
