New York Mets player Daniel Murphy responded to the sports radio criticism he received for taking the allotted three days of paternity leave Major League Baseball allows. Murphy’s and his wife welcomed their first child this week after a C-section. Murphy spoke from the Mets locker room Thursday and said he and his wife discussed it and felt the best thing for their family was for him to try to stay for an extra day.
