The nation’s high school seniors didn’t do so well on their latest report card. The latest national assessment test results show that many 12th graders seem to be unprepared for college or the workforce. Only a quarter of them performed well in math and fewer than half were proficient in reading. High school graduation rates have reached a record high , but graduates have shown no growth in achievement since the last assessment test in 2009. The good news is third and eighth graders are doing a little better.
