European Union Discussing Tougher Sanctions on Russia

Today, European Union leaders are meeting in Brussels to consider tougher sanctions on Russian President Vladimir Putin due to his alleged role in the loss of Malaysia Airlines flight MH 17.

Those penalties would include gas, oil, defense and financial penalties.

Putin’s government maintains that it did not have any involvement in the fatal air crash.
