Never have so many travelers been inconvenienced than during the winter of 2013-2014. The Transportation Department says that a historically high 4.6% of all airline flights were canceled, mainly due to an unusually brutal winter. But you can also blame the airlines’ tendency these days to “pre-cancel” flights before bad weather sets in. Jim Ryan reports from Dallas/Fort Worth.
