I-275 Dale Mabry Southbound Exit Closed For 4 Months

TAMPA — The southbound I-275 exit ramp (Exit 41A/B) to Dale Mabry Highway is scheduled to close for an extended period beginning at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, May
27 and reopen in approximately four months (the reopening goal is in September).

The signed detour route will be to use Exit 41C to Himes Avenue (immediately before the Dale Mabry Highway exit), turn left at the bottom of the ramp and go south to Cypress Street, then turn right and go west on Cypress Street to Dale Mabry Highway. Drivers are reminded that Himes Avenue is an exit from the left lane of southbound I-275.

In order to handle the additional traffic, improvements to the Himes Avenue exit ramp will be completed before the Dale Mabry exit is closed. The Himes exit ramp will be lengthened and will be widened where it joins Himes Avenue to provide a left turn lane, a middle lane where turns will be permitted in either direction, and a right turn lane.

Any changes to this schedule will be posted on our myTBI.com web site.
