Human Remains Found During Search For FL Boy

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Authorities searching for a missing Jacksonville boy found the remains of a man in the woods near a business park.

Jacksonville Sheriff’s Sgt. Craig Waldrup says the remains found Monday included clothes and had apparently been there at least a year.

The Florida Times-Union (http://bit.ly/1fCO2In ) remains were taken to the medical examiner’s office for a full investigation. Waldrup says foul play didn’t appear to be involved.

The body was found while some 200 law enforcement officers looked for 21-month-old Lonzie Barton who went missing Thursday night in Jacksonville. The boyfriend of the boy’s mother has been arrested on two counts of child neglect. The child was in his care when he disappeared.
