Holiday Shopping: Toys You Should Watch Out For This Season

A bow that shoots illuminated arrows its manufacturer says can fly up to 145 feet, and the “Catapencil” … a pencil with a miniature slingshot-style launcher at its erasure end … are among an annual list of unsafe toys released on Wednesday. The group, World Against Toys Causing Harm (W.A.T.C.H), a Massachusetts-based consumer watchdog group, issued its “10 Worst Toys” list over possible hazards as the holiday shopping season gets underway.

W.A.T.C.H been compiling the lists for over three decades. Toys on the list had problems which ranged from detachable parts that infants can choke on to misleading or confusing warning labels and instructions.
