Hillsborough County may soon limit even further where sex offenders can live.
An ordinance being considered would force offenders whose victims were under 16 to live at least 25 hundred feet from places where kids gather like schools and playgrounds.
The state of Florida mandates only a one thousand foot buffer.
Opponents say the ordinance would leave more sex offenders homeless, and that would make it tougher to keep track of them, so kids would be in more danger, not less.
