Former Florida Governor Charlie Crist says he will likely run for the U.S. House seat currently held by Republican David Jolly.
Jolly said today he will run for the U.S. Senate seat that Marco Rubio holds right now.
Crist, once a Republican but now a Democrat, just lost his bid to unseat Republican Governor Rick Scott.
Crist says his decision to run for Congress will hinge on how re-districting by the Florida Legislature unfolds.
If Jolly’s district ends up including heavily-Democratic St. Petersburg, which is also Crist’s hometown, he will run knowing that he has a better shot at winning.
