HCSO To Host Bike Registration Event

On Friday, February 21, 2014 beginning at 4:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office deputies, Target and the Town and Country Boys and Girls Club will hold a bicycle registration event. Children that register a bicycle will receive safety equipment.

Terry Fortino of Michelle’s Kids, Inc. has donated three bicycles and 80 helmets. Deputy Gregory Tindall, District III Patrol, donated two bicycles. Five lucky children will be surprised. The five children to receive the new bikes have been selected by the Boys and Girls Club.

For the kids that do not have a bicycle to register, deputies and Target employees will be participating in a “kid friendly” game of kickball. This event will be exclusive to the members of the Boys and Girls Club.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office District III deputies and Target will be involved in a unique partnershipwith the Town and Country Boys and Girls Club.

Throughout the year, District III deputies will be involved in events that will enhance the relationship between the deputies and the kids in the Town and Country area. Deputies hope that by working with the kids, they can become mentors and help steer them towards positive achievements in life.

Personnel from Target located at 11627 Hillsborough Avenue W will also be lending a hand to the club, by supplying outdoor sporting equipment and participating in several activities alongside District III deputies.
