Deputies with the Hillsborough County police are investigating an overnight homicide Saturday morning.
On August 8, 2014 at approximately 11:20 p.m. the victim’s brother dialed 9-1-1 and informed deputies that his brother had been shot. He further stated that both he and the victim were located inside of a shed, on their property, when an unknown white male entered concealing his face with a bandana.
According to the brother, the unknown person brandished an unknown firearm and attempted to rob both him and his brother. The complainant then stated that the suspect then struck him in the head with the firearm and the his brother (the victim) reacted by making an inadvertent movement.
According to the brother at that time the unknown suspect shot the victim in the upper torso, resulting in causing the victims death.
The only description of the suspect is that of an armed white male with a bandana over his face.
The investigation continues.
The 911 call is not being released at this time, according to HCSO.
