A Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputy is hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries after a harrowing wreck in Gibsonton.
Deputy Tim Berg was sitting at a red light on Gibsonton Drive at Interstate 75 when a truck slammed into his motorcycle from behind.
The impact pushed the deputy 150 feet and left him pinned under the truck.
Crews worked to free Berg from the mangled metal and then sent him to the hospital with only cuts and a broken ankle.
The wreck involved a total of six vehicles.
