ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) _ Fire rescue crews found a gunshot victim when they responded to a house fire south of Orlando.
A newspaper delivery man called authorities when he saw the flames and spotted the injured man around 4 a.m. Tuesday.
The Orlando Sentinel (http://thesent.nl/Tdeaf8 ) reports the delivery man dragged the man to the curb while they waited for Orange County Fire Rescue crews to arrive.
The home was already fully engulfed in flames when crews arrived.
The man was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center in critical condition.
Orange County Sheriff’s spokesman Spike Hopkins says deputies don’t know whether the man lived at the home. Detectives are investigating the shooting.
Fire rescue spokesman John Mulhall says no other victims were inside the house, but a dog died in the fire.
