Guard Dog Shot In Fort Myers

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Authorities are investigating the shooting death of a guard dog named Hank in Fort Myers.

The News-Press of Fort Myers reports that someone shot Ken Harrison’s German shepherd watch dog three times Sunday morning.

Harrison says the dog was apparently asleep when he was shot.

Investigators found several spent bullet casings and portions of a bullet.

Harrison says he got the dog belonged to his brother and he started caring for him after the brother died several years ago.

Animal Services investigators are seeking information from the public about the shooting.
