TAMPA, Fla. (AP) _ A civil rights group says it is filing a federal lawsuit on behalf of Florida children who were abused while being housed in an adult jail.
The Southern Poverty Law Center plans a news conference in front of the federal courthouse in Tampa Wednesday morning.
The group did not immediately release details of the claims or the lawsuit.
Florida law allows juveniles to be held in adult jails as long as they are separated from adult inmates.
