LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — A regional airline flying out of Lexington’s Blue Grass Airport is adding a non-stop flight to Fort Lauderdale, Fla., starting in November.
Airport officials told The Lexington Herald-Leader on Thursday that Allegiant will add the route to the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport on Thursdays and Sundays starting Nov. 17.
Flights will depart Lexington at 7:50 p.m. and arrive there at 10 p.m. Flights leaving Fort Lauderdale will depart at 4:50 p.m. and arrive here at 7:05 p.m.
The city becomes the fifth served by Allegiant from Lexington.
