Ex-Abramoff Partner Testifies in FL Slaying Case

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) _ A former partner of disgraced Washington lobbyist Jack Abramoff in a fraudulent casino boats venture is taking the witness stand in the related 2001 killing of a South Florida businessman.

Adam Kidan is scheduled to testify Wednesday in a pretrial hearing in the slaying of Konstantinos “Gus” Boulis. Boulis was gunned down after selling his SunCruz Casinos fleet to Kidan and Abramoff.

Both were later charged with fraud and went to prison.

They are not accused in the Boulis slaying.

Charged with murder and facing the death penalty are Anthony “Big Tony” Moscatiello and Anthony “Little Tony” Ferrari. The hearing concerns whether to revoke $500,000 bail for Moscatiello.

A trial date hasn’t been set.

Kidan has been cooperating in the Boulis case and had his prison sentence reduced.
