Police arrested a woman Thursday accused of participating in the shooting of a young man while her two children were present.
Shamiria Hardrick, 22, of 215 E Moore Ave., sat in police custody as a SWAT team searched her Robles Park residence for the man who pulled the trigger. He was still unidentified and on the loose Thursday night.
The victim, Dontavious Clark, 22, was in critical condition.
The episode began Thursday afternoon near Selma and Mayfield avenues. Tampa police said Clark was walking on Selma when he encountered a man with whom he had a conflict. An argument broke out and the assailant pulled a gun and shot several times, striking Clark in the upper body. Police said Hardrick had handed the shooter the gun.
Clark ran to 402 Selma Ave., where police said he does not live, and called for help.
Police later believed the suspect was in an apartment about a block away. But when a team entered the Moore Avenue home, the suspect was not there. Police planned to search it for evidence.
Hardrick faces charges of attempted first-degree murder, child neglect and carrying a concealed firearm. She was held without bail.
