A Valrico motorcyclist was killed early Monday morning when she lost control on Bayshore Boulevard in South Tampa and struck a concrete curb.
Tampa police said 29-year-old Kristi Nicole Phifer was driving a 2013 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle southbound in the outside lane on Bayshore Boulevard, approaching Orleans Avenue, around 6:45 a.m. when she failed to negotiate a curve on the wet roadway.
Police said Phifer entered the bicycle lane and struck a raised concrete curb.
Phifer was ejected from the motorcycle and struck a raised concrete monument, police said.
