Valrico Dentist Takes Cigar Shop To Court

VALRICO, Fla. (AP) — A Tampa Bay area dentist is sick of his office smelling like the cigar shop next door.

So Edmund Rahal went to Hillsborough County Circuit Court last week, asking a judge to intervene. Rahal wants an injunction to bar the odors wafting over the Twisted Cigar shop next door to his dentist office.

The Tampa Bay Times (http://bit.ly/zGe57Y ) reports cigar shop owner Jim Brown says they’ve resealed the drywall and placed a smoke filter in the dentist office’s air condition unit. Brown told the newspaper he was unaware there was still a problem.

Rahl says the smoky smell remains. He says patients have been complaining since the shop opened on Oct. 1. He has hired attorney Gregory E. Mierzwinski and asked his receptionist to start keeping track of patient’s complaints.
