LAKE CITY, Fla. (AP) — Three Florida police officers are doing well after they were shot during a standoff.
Lake City Sgt. Jason Byrd was hospitalized in good condition Saturday. Police investigator David Greear and Officer Mitchell Cline were already back home.
The three were wounded after authorities say a man opened fire outside his Florida home Friday as police responded to a domestic violence complaint. The suspect later barricaded himself inside and committed suicide.
The Florida Times-Union reported the couple had a pending divorce.
Lake City is about 60 miles west of Jacksonville.
