Tanker Truck Crashes on I-4

In Lakeland the cleanup of a tanker truck that crashed on Interstate 4 early today is expected to keep part of the highway closed for hours.

The tanker truck was carrying 8,000 gallons of fuel crashed on Interstate 4 just before 6 a.m.

According to troopers, the tanker’s driver lost control and the vehicle spun out of control and crashed.

The crash closed all eastbound lanes of the highway at Kathleen Road and the tanker driver only suffered minor injuries.

A hazardous materials team has completed clean up of the spill.
