DAVENPORT, Fla. – Two suspects wanted in the murder of a man who sacrificed his life for his girlfriend during a Davenport home invasion have been arrested.

Polk County Sheriff’s spokesperson Donna Wood announced Sunday night 20-year-old Richard Virnet, of Clermont, and a 17-year-old male from Kissimmee were arrested and face several charges, including murder, in the March 25 shooting death of Jesse Shivers.

Wood said the 17-year-old was arrested at a Kissimmee home Friday with the assistance of the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office. The juvenile suspect is not being identified, unless he becomes charged as an adult, in accordance with ABC Action News policy.

The 17-year-old waived extradition and was transported to the Polk County Juvenile Assessment Center, Wood said.
