Pasco County, Florida — Deputies responded to a shooting Saturday in Holiday.
Pasco Sheriff’s Office received the call at 12:22 p.m. on June 8. A male in his early 20s was transported to a hospital in critical condition with potentially life threatening injuries.
The man who shot the gun, Mathew Santos, claimed the shooting was an accident then later changed his story to say he shot the victim in defense.
Mathew Santos has been arrested for aggravated battery. The victim still remains in critical condition.
