St. Johns: Burglar steals $30,000 in iPhones, iPads

A burglar wielding a sledge hammer smashed his way into a St. Johns County business then stole 44 iPhones and four iPads early Thursday morning, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The burglar smashed the front-glass door of the Verizon Wireless on Fairfield Boluevard about 4 a.m. He took two phones from the front sales area and headed to a back room where he stole the other electronics.
