Small Plane Crash in Everglades Kills 2

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Authorities are investigating a small plane crash that killed two people in the Florida Everglades.

Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Eric Davis says another pilot witnessed the crash Sunday afternoon and called the control tower at Palm Beach International Airport.

The wreckage of the two-seat plane was found Sunday night in the Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge near Boynton Beach.

Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen tells The Palm Beach Post (http://bit.ly/uCJbf0 ) that two people in the Cirrus SR-22 were killed.

The victims’ names have not been released.

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating. The plane’s wreckage is expected to be removed Monday.
