Pinellas County Sheriff’s Deputies have arrest a man for attempting to murder his estranged wife.
Jack B. Woods, 36, was arrested for attempted felony murder and violation of injunction / protection from domestic violence.
Deputies responded to a 911 call at a private residence at 113th Street North in Seminole at approximately 5:38 a.m., January 29th. The caller said a man there had a weapon.
When officers arrived, they discovered the victim, 30-year-old Danielle Figgatt had been stabbed on the right side of the abdomen abd was quickly transported by ambulance to Bayfront Medical Center for treatment of possible life threatening injuries.
According to deputies, Woods approached Ms. Figgatt outside the house – and stabbed her with an unknown object.
Acquaintances of the victim carried her inside, called 911 and placed pressure on the wound until emergency services arrived on scene.
Figgatt, and other witnesses identified the attacker; and Woods was arrested for attempted felony murder and violation injunction/protection from domestic violence on January 31, 2012.
