BRANDON — The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a double shooting in Brandon.
According to authorities, two people were shot just after 7 a.m. at a home in the 600 block east Morgan Street near Ridgewood Avenue. Those two people were taken to Tampa General Hospital in serious condition.
Officials said mutiple people scattered from the rental home after the shooting occurred.
A suspect search is underway. One person was taken into custody near the shooting scene after a short foot chase. Another person also was taken into custody near the home. Officials said as many as five people are being sought in connection with the shooting, some just being considered witnesses and not suspects.
