The body of 29-year-old Nicole Rose Scott, of Sarasota, was discovered in a ditch near University Parkway in Bradenton.
A biker who was out riding Sunday morning called Manatee County Sheriff’s office around 11 a.m.
Detectives say Scott’s death is suspicious and believe she was probably killed at the location her body was left.
They now believe the woman was left there within two days of the biker discovering her and said she showed minor signs of trauma and was somewhat clothed.
Officials identified the woman through a criminal database, as she had been arrested in her past and an autopsy will be performed on the woman’s body to determine a cause of death Monday.
