Pedestrian Hit and Killed on U.S. 19

A  31-year-old woman was hit and  killed in Largo late Wednesday when she tried to cross U.S. 19 at 150th Avenue.

It happened just before 11 p.m. when Tina Gallardo Robinson she attempted to run across all five lanes of traffic of U.S. 19, police said.

Why she was attempting to cross there is not clear, but when she did, she was hit by a 2002 Cadillac driven by Keir Hopkins, 43.

The car was travelling north at about 60 miles per hour, police said.

Robinson was killed instantly.

Sgt. Ryan J. Dulski, a Largo Police Department traffic Homicide investigator, said “the pedestrian was clearly at fault” and no charges would be filed. pedestrian
