More Mosquitoes Since Tropical Storm Debbie

BROOKSVILLE, Fla. (AP) _ Hernando County has seen a three-fold increase in mosquitoes since Tropical Storm Debby went through this western part of Florida.

As part of the recovery efforts from the storm, local officials say aerial spraying for mosquitoes has been scheduled for Wednesday night.

It’s a one-time application done by a company under contract to the Department of Agriculture.

A county press release says that if the weather is not suitable for spraying, it will be postponed for Thursday.

Multiple state and federal agencies are involved to assure such public interests are considered and met.
