St. Petersburg Police have arrested two suspects on drug, weapons and felony assault charges.
25-year-old Jimmie Lavion Flourney of 1608 27th Avenue South, and 23-year-old Bianca Patrice Harvey, of 4142 Sunny View Dr, Lakeland were picked up last night at about 9:45 p.m., after officers followed their silver Kia to 811 27th Ave N and made a traffic stop.
When stopped, Flournoy got out of the car and started fighting with the officers. While he was struggling, the passenger of the vehicle, Bianca Harvey, jumped into the driver’s seat and started to drive away, hitting a police cruiser.
Harvey led officers on a brief chase to the area of 40th Ave NE and Birch St where it ended without incident. But what they found inside the car surprised them.
Inside the Kia, officers seized approximately 4 pounds of marijuana, over 100 xanax pills, 9 hydrocodone pills, 66 oxycodone pills. In addition to the drugs, they found over $5,000 in cash and loaded high-capacity assault weapon.
Flournoy was founded to be armed with the handgun while fighting officers and is now in custody. One officer was treated for minor injuries as a result of the struggle.
Police found that Flournoy was wanted in Hillsborough County for a home invasion robbery. He is now charged with that crime, other outstanding warrants and with battery on a Law Enforcement Officer, Carrying a Concealed Firearm, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Sell, Resisting arrest with Violence and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
Harvey was charged Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement Officers (3counts), Possession of Marijuana, carrying a Concealed Firearm, Leaving the Scene of an Accident and Aggravated Fleeing and Eluding.
Both now reside in the Pinellas County Jail
