MANATEE — A 5-year-old child was kidnapped and raped on Monday in Bradenton, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.
About 1 p.m. Monday, the child was playing with another child near the Aloha Estates Mobile Home Park, 5310 14th St. W., when the child was approached by a man.
The man “lured the victim to a store, then to a vacant mobile home. The victim was held against will, choked and sexually battered at that location,” states a news release issued early Tuesday.
Eventually, the child was able to escape, run home and tell a family member about what had happened.
The sheriff’s office says it has obtained security video of the man trying to board a Manatee County Area Transit bus in order to flee the area.[youtube_sc url=”http://youtu.be/y6ylseiJK4s”]
