ST. PETERSBURG (FOX 13) – Kelly Harding was a man who knew a little something about trouble.
He had a bit of criminal past and was serving a year in the Pinellas County Jail for burglary.
Harding didn’t live to see his release date; he was murdered in jail early Sunday morning.
“This is the first time ever, that I am aware that we’ve had a murder occur within the Pinellas County Jail,” said Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri.
Scott Greenberg has been charged with first degree murder.
“Deputies also learned that earlier last night Greenburg told other inmates that he was in jail on the 2nd degree murder charge and that he was not going to do life in prison and that he wanted to go to death row,” said Sheriff Gualtieri.
