TAMPA — Many Hillsborough County teachers and support staff could soon see bigger paychecks.
After months of negotiations, bargaining teams for the school district, Hillsborough Classroom Teachers Association and the Hillsborough School Employees Federation have reached a tentative agreement that would bump up employees represented by the unions two steps on the salary scale.
That equals a raise of about 4 percent, according to HCTA Executive Director Stephanie Baxter-Jenkins.
