MIAMI (AP) — Authorities have identified a 45-year-old man who fell to his death from a luxury yacht into the waters off Miami.
Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commissioners identified the Miami-Dade County man as Juan Carlos Morales.
Authorities told The Miami Herald (http://bit.ly/rsUHoq) that Morales fell overboard and was dragged under the boat.
Morales was on a friend’s 65-foot yacht over the blustery Columbus Day holiday weekend.
According to the National Weather Service, the Miami International Airport recorded more than 5 inches of rain over a 48-hour period starting Friday. Miami’s southern suburbs reported up to 9 inches of rainfall.
