Florida Lt. Governor Visits UK, Spain

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Lt. Gov. Jennifer Carroll is on a trade mission to Great Britain and Spain.

Carroll is travelling with officials from the Kennedy Space Center and other space industry officials. They are in the UK through Wednesday meeting with members of Parliament to discuss economic and space policy issues. Carroll is also meeting with representatives of Cella Energy, which recently established U.S. subsidiaries and will soon have staff in Florida.

The group will travel to Spain on Thursday, where they will meet with aerospace and technology officials. Carroll will also sign a letter with Spain’s Ministry of Science and Innovation that calls for increasing research ties with that country, particularly in the fields of aging and agriculture biotech.
