First Day Of Summer Will Be A Warm One

Today is the first day of summer, but Central Florida has been warming up for weeks.

Friday is expected to be a warm day with a high near 92 and a 97 percent chance of humidity, according to the National Weather Service in Melbourne.

Rainfall – another mark of a Florida summer – is likely today after noon.

Meteorologists anticipate showers and thunderstorms to sweep through Central Florida until midnight.

Nightly temperatures will drop to a low near 74.
