Cooler Weather Coming to Tampa Bay Area

A cold front moves through today bringing dry air to the area.  I would like to say dry and COOL, but temps will top out in the mid 80s this weekend.  The air will be slightly cooler allowing lows to dip to the low to mid 60s, but the major difference will come with the lower humidity.  Dew points will remain low through the weekend so enjoy all of your outdoor activities.

We will be watching the Caribbean and southern Gulf of Mexico as showers and storms will start to gather there this weekend and we also look ahead to Tuesday and Wednesday as another front moves through.  That front will funnel some of the moisture to our south making for a soggy cold front passage.  The air behind that front is not only drier, but cooler too.  Highs struggling to reach 80 by week’s end.

Today:  Mostly sunny with drier air moving in.  Winds NW-N 10 mph with highs in the mid 80s.

Tonight: Mainly clear and cooler.  Winds N 5 mph with lows in the low to mid 60s Tampa south, upper 50s north.

Weekend:  Sunny and mild with highs in the mid 80s.  It will be warm, but dry as humidity values remain low. Overnight lows will dip to the low to mid 60s.
