Central Florida Home Invader Killed

OCOEE, Fla. (AP) _ Authorities say a central Florida man shot and killed an intruder who tried to rob him at his home.

Orange County Sheriff’s spokesman Angelo Nieves told the Orlando Sentinel (http://bit.ly/NvWsyB ) the homeowner was either the current or former landlord of 41-year-old Luis Angel Rivera.

Nieves says Rivera was armed with a knife when he rang the doorbell and demanded money at the Ocoee home Monday.

According to the Sheriff’s office, the homeowner fired a warning shot as Rivera entered the home. He shot him again when Rivera didn’t stop.

 The homeowner hasn’t been arrested.
