Cat Body Parts Found on Florida Golf Course

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. (AP) — For the sixth time since October, cat body parts have been found on a Port Charlotte golf course.

Authorities say the head of a cat was found Thursday on the 14th fairway of the Port Charlotte Golf Club.

The News-Press (http://newspr.es/taGHPn) reports that several other gruesome discoveries were made. Six feet of animal intestines were stretched out on the fairway, carcasses with heads, tails and legs were cut off and other disemboweled cats were also found.

No blood reportedly was found at any of the locations, indicating the cats may have been killed elsewhere and then placed on the course. Charlotte County Sheriff’s detectives urge anyone with information about the cat killings to call 941-639-2101, or Crime Stoppers at 800-780-TIPS (8477).
