Boyfriend Arrested After Orlando Toddler Dies

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Authorities say a man has been arrested on an aggravated child neglect charge after his girlfriend’s toddler died after spending time with him.

Orange County deputies say they were called to Florida Hospital on Tuesday where they spoke to Rosalia Poirier, whose child was critically ill. Deputies say she told them she noticed something wrong with 16-month-old Torey Dymond when he returned from a walk with her boyfriend that afternoon.

The Orlando Sentinel (http://thesent.nl/wVfnjK ) reports the mother told deputies the child was purple, blue and lifeless, but 30-year-old Clifton Alexander Frazier insisted the boy was just sleeping.

According to a report, Frazier later told deputies the boy hit his head on the sidewalk.

The boy died Wednesday morning. Deputies say charges against Frazier could be upgraded. He’s being held without bail.
