FL Food Truck Owner Appearing On Food Network

According to the Tampa Bay Times, St. Petersburg food truck owner and newlywed Mee Ae Wolney is set to move onto the big stage and compete on Food Network’s ‘Cutthroat Kitchen.’

Well, she has already competed on the show, but the episode will not air until September 13 at 10 p.m.

Though she thought she would be competing against other food truck chefs, that wasn’t the case. She said she competed against other chefs who were brick-and-mortar types.

Wolney originally started her culinary career in restaurant kitchens like other chefs do, but she soon realized she wanted to be able to create her own food. Financial issues, though, led her to opening up a food truck rather than her own restaurant.

Though she is a little television shy, Wolney said she wouldn’t mind doing another one now. “Now that I got a taste for it, I think I’d like to brave another one. It was terrifying, but fun,” she said.
